The Culture to Culture Foundation is sponsoring the <em>Through the Lens of Culture<\/em> category of this state-wide contest for the fourth straight year. Submission deadline is <strong>March 1, 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to 2018, 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2<sup>nd\u00a0<\/sup><sup>\u00a0<\/sup>and 3rd place winners will be selected\u00a0<strong>in each category\u00a0<\/strong>(mental health, suicide prevention)\u00a0by a judging panel. This year, the contest received 456 films, representing 1343 youth from 110 schools and organizations across California. These initiatives are funded by counties through the Mental Health Services Act (Prop 63) and administered by the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA), an organization of county governments working to improve mental health outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
