On Feb 2, Culture to Culture Foundation partnered with Census 2020, Contra Costa County District 2, and the City of San Ramon to celebrate Chinese New Year at San Ramon's Dougherty Station Community Center. Over 200 guests and volunteers attended the celebration. Among the guests included Town of Danville Mayor Karen Stepper; Council Members Robert Storer, Rene Morgan and Newell Arnerich; Contra Costa County Supervisor Candace Andersen; Susanna Ordway, SRVUSD Board; Aparna Madireddi, Contra Costa County Census 2020 Committee County District 2 Representative; and many, many more Culture to Culture supporters and sponsors. In addition, Contra Costa County Census 2020 set up a table during the event to provide information about the upcoming census.<\/p>\n

      The three-hour long celebration included performances of lion dance, dragon dance and martial arts by Kung Fu Dragon USA School; a \"fashion show\" of Chinese costumes by distinguished guests; traditional Chinese Folk Dance by Shiao-Pai Dance School; Culture to Culture Singers accompanied by Chris and David on Banjo; line dance by Reg Kwan's dancers; and hula dance by Rosemarie Ramos's Hula Dancers.\u00a0 The guests were treated to a delicious meal that included BBQ Pork buns, cocktail buns, rice, Dan Dan noodles, green beans, whole roast pig, rotisserie chicken, baked chicken and cake.<\/p>\n
